I get an error, "EWS-DME Adaptations: Fail(E =)"Ĭan someone help me figure out how to Align the DME and EWS? I have attempted to re align the DME and EWS through the function in the DME sub menu. The errors I am getting from the DME are, "EWS Signal is Wrong, start value not accepted /random number not changed" Using PA Soft on a different computer from the one purchased on eBay, I can read the information from the DME and the EWS systems. I Bought a used DME of similar specifications and had current software and relevant information of my car coded to the used DME. I followed test plans on programs within the Laptop, that lead me to my original DME not responding on the car's communications system. ![]() This issue came about after I purchased a BMW Coding and Diagnostic Laptop from an Ebay Seller. The car will crank over with the key held on run, but the fuel and the spark are severely retarded, Key on position 2 yields 20 psi on the rail, with run position giving no spark while cranking. I have a 325i that is having issue with the sync of the DME and EWS. ![]()
